Following is an account of some fallacies used in promotion of the
so-called 'War on Drugs'. Approximate reading time: ten minutes.
The term 'drug policy' is used to promote the fallacy that the purpose of the 'War on Drugs' is the prevention and reduction of drug-related harm. In order for the policy mechanisms of the 'War on Drugs' to be concerned with the prevention and reduction of substance-related harm, they would have to address the supply and use of the two most dangerous drugs in existence (alcohol and tobacco) in the same way they address other drugs.
The so-called 'War on Drugs' is solely an economic system based on intentionally-created crime using people who associate with drugs other than alcohol, tobacco and caffeine as the minority to be exploited for financial and political gain.

There is not and never has been any evidence to support the concept of administration of heroin / morphine being responsible for cessation of breathing.
In cases of fatalities where opioids have been present, evidence has consistently indicated one circumstance: asphyxiation due to a combination of Central Nervous System depressant drugs leading to profound sedation and subsequent airway obstruction. In regard to blood-morphine levels- low, non-problematic quantities are typically found.
